Becoming more Earth friendly

Lately, I've put a lot of research and time into changing by lifestyle.

Over the past year or so, I have gradually been eating a healthier, more organic and balanced diet, while trying to get the other members of my household to do the same.

I have also been replacing all of the products I use around the house with organic and eco-friendly products. Our usage for single use plastics has gone down quite a lot, but still has a lot of room for improvement.

It's no joke that this isn't easy, it takes a lot of hard work and commitment, old habits need to be broken. These day to day decisions, while seemingly small, have a huge impact on the environment and on our future generations.

There are so many little things we can do in our daily lives which have a positive impact.

"I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples" - Mother Teresa

Now more than ever before, organic and eco-friendly products are easily accessible.

Accessibility can no longer be used as an excuse. Expense is not a valid excuse, due to the money one can save by buying re-usable products instead of single use products. For example, I can purchase a pack of 2 re-usable sandwich bags for about $7 online. Each of these bags has the lifespan of 300 - 400 Ziploc bags.

SO, now that you're out of excuses, you can begin to change your lifestyle, too.

Begin with something simple, take a couple tote bags (I know you have some already) to the grocery store with you instead of using their plastic bags. Many stores will even give you a discount for doing this. My local Shop N' Save takes $0.05 off your order per reusable bag. That may not seem like much, but depending on how often you shop, this could save you a few dollars a month, and every penny counts!

Here are some products that I have discovered which I would recommend;

1. BPA free reusable snack bags - Grove Collaborative

2. Ultra soft tissues (100% sustainable, made from bamboo & sugarcane) - Seedling, by Grove

3. Toothbrushes (bamboo) - Eroboo

4. Shampoo Bar (made w/ castor oil. 100% recycled packaging) - Friendly Soap

5. Portable silverware & straw set (bamboo) - Green Remodeled

Use my link below to receive a free 5 piece gift set with your first order from Grove Collaborative! I love these all-natural products.
